How is BaaS different from self-hosting or a pure RPC service?
Each sits at a different point on the control-to-convenience spectrum. Self-hosting gives the most control but you run operations and security; pure RPC is fastest to deploy but mainly serves standard public-chain workloads. UD BaaS offers managed full-stack infrastructure that builds custom environments like private/hybrid chains and hosts nodes and RPC, with an SLA and local support.
Which chains does UD support? Private, public and hybrid?
All three. UD builds private, public and hybrid chains, and supports multi-chain and cross-chain deployment. Node and RPC hosting currently covers Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, BNB Chain, Cosmos, Osmosis, Cardano, Avalanche, Juno and Akash; for anything else, send an enquiry.
I only need a validator or staking, BaaS or validator hosting?
If you want to take part in PoS staking and earn validator rewards, go straight to validator & node hosting, which has public pricing. BaaS suits projects needing custom chains, mixed node setups or broader infrastructure.
How does pricing work? Can I pay in crypto?
